How We Select Network Assessors
Joining the truEPC network is not automatic. Every assessor must meet strict criteria and pass our rigorous vetting process:
Professional Qualifications
- Hold Level 3 or Level 4 Non-Domestic Energy Assessment qualifications
- Registered with a government-approved accreditation scheme (Elmhurst, ECMK, Quidos, Sterling, or NHER)
- Active and compliant membership with their accreditation body
- Up-to-date knowledge of current building regulations and assessment methodologies
Proven Experience
- Minimum of 100 completed commercial EPC assessments
- Demonstrable experience with various property types and complexities
- Strong track record of accurate, compliant certificates
- No history of regulatory issues or quality concerns
Insurance & Compliance
- Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance (minimum £1 million cover)
- Public Liability Insurance
- Compliance with data protection regulations (UK GDPR)
